Pmdg 777 Voice Warning During Landing

Featured Replies

Hi all,

When I approach for landing today, a warning of "Guide Slope! Guide Slope!" was keep coming out.  Can anyone tell me what's that mean please?

Thanks x 10000

It means you're below the glide slope to the point the GPWS is warning you.

I'm sure others can go more in depth.

I guess you need to start from the basics first...if you are moving ahead into jets... btw the answer to your question is: You are either above or below the gliding path towards the runway..you need to maintain the glide path with the correct vertical speed.. B)

You only hear the warning if you are one dot or more 'below' the glide slope.  @OHK, keep the magenta diamond centered.

The others are correct. You can override it using the G\S Override switch near the gear handle I believe, but it is NOT normal practise to do this.

Yep you can disable the warning, and once the warning is disabled, the next sign of trouble will be when you crash short of the runway..

Just try to imagine that glideslope is a slide directing you to the runway, if you are not "seating" on the slide, like being below the slide, the glideslope warning will come to exsistance, what you should do is to raise the nose, reduce the rate of descent to follow the glideslope which you can see in PFD
