Whenever you have a faulting module unknown, try uninstalling FSX SP2 and then reinstall. Make sure you install SP2 with Administrative Rights. It should run okay on a laptop.

You need to explain a little more about what you were doing. Starting FSX and it died while loading the flight or, you were sitting on the tarmac ready to take off and it crashed? What were you loading? A commercial aircraft like the PMDG 777 or a default aircraft. If it was an addon aircraft, try loading a default aircraft.

There are many suggestions to look at in the AVSIM CTD Guide located to the right of this forum under Hot Spots. Look at the section on what to do after you encounter a crash.
