June 13, 201411 yr The B1900D is a new aircraft to me and I'm having more then useal problems figuring out where to find everything and how ot use it. Or better said, I'm seriously questioning if the normal procedure checklist that came with the aircraft is indeed the checklist for the B1900D... There are so many items on the checklist I cant find in the aircraft, or maybe items are named differently on the checklist than in the aircraft, I dont know... Is there a proper checklist I can download somewhere against which I can check this checklist? Cheers! Maarten
June 14, 201411 yr Author After googling for hours today, I managed to find a B1900 pilot training manual and that already cleared up some issues. Indeed some wrongly or not labeled items, like the auto feather switch, for instance... However, some of the items I had trouble finding are also not mentioned, or simply mentioned and not properly pointed out or explained in the manual, so I made a list of a couple of items that are left: I cant find: - Lavatory Smoke Detector - Emergency Instrument Light Switch - Standby Attitude Indicator - Pilot and copilot clock - Pilot and copilot Compass Control (To slave the compass) - Landing Gear Handle Test Lights Button - EFIS Reversionary Panel - Elevator Trim On/Off switch - Ignition and Engine Start Switch Off-position - Stby Horix Pwr or Stby Inst Pwr - Flight Data Recorder - Stall Warn Heat switch - Flight Director switch Items that dont work: - Static Air switches - Fire Extinguisher Test lights (on the glareshield) - EFIS Aux Power - Altimeter Test button - Engine control Friction Locks And How can I? - Cage or Uncage the Gyro If you can point me out where one or more of the items in the top list are, or can explain how any of the items on the other lists work or know a place where I can find an explination, it would be very much appreciated. Cheers! Maarten
October 19, 201411 yr Ages since your post, but someone else might find a reply useful. Most of these items are not present, or do not function. [i believe] The EFIS reversionary panel is the one most forward on the right side of the pedestal (behind the aileron/rudder trim knobs). That is, the small panel forward of the panel with the EFIS power switches. Ignition and Engine Start Switch .... Off-position is the "centered" position, with in this model means down. In the actual aircraft: UP = Start/Ignition (plus this runs the aux fuel pump) CENTER = Off Bottom = Starter Only (no fuel pump) to clear the engine of fuel Stall Warn Heat Switch is on the lower-left of the Ice Protection panel (Pilot's side, lower panels on the right) Pilot and Copilot Compass control [to slave], I don't believe this is modeled. However, there are gyro adjustment panels on the outboard of both sides of the instrument panel. Pretty much remove everything else from the list.
October 21, 201411 yr Unfortunately that is the usual inaccuracy that comes with Carenado products. If you want to work with realistic checklists you are better off with other flightsim companies' products. I solved the issue by creating my own checklist based on the Carenado one and those things that (more or less) work in the cockpit.
