Flight 1 GTN 750 in Ant's Airplanes Tecnam Sierra (VC)

Featured Replies

hi guys.  i recently saw the real world garmin gtn 750 demoed at an air show here in the uk.    i was blown away by this unit!    so although i'm new to fsx and still learning my way around, when i heard that flight 1 had released a gtn 750 simulation i just had to have it.

the problem was that i didnt have any addon aircraft that were compatible with getting the gtn750 in to the virtual cockpit!   (dont like pop up 2D panels).

then i read on another forum that ants airplanes tecnam sierra has a reality xp 530 "mode" that removes all 3D knobs and leaves a perfect 'space' for the gtn750, in the VC.

so i picked up the aircraft and after an hour of tinkering, here is the result.    the GTN750 integrates beautifully with this aicraft.

id highly recommend both the gauge, and the aircraft.

The 750 looks great in the Sierra. Anyway you can share how you did this? Thanks.

I also use the GTN750 in the Tecnam Sierra and have the following settings in the panel.cfg:

[Window01]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=937,887
ident=14401
window_pos= 0.000, 0.565
window_size= 0.255, 0.435
zorder=99
gauge00=F1GTN!GTN750, 0,0,937,887,UNIT1.POP

...

[VCockpit01]
background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=1024,1024
visible=1
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$pan1
gauge00=F1GTN!GTN750,        4,3,        507,480, UNIT1.VC
gauge01=rxpGNS!GTX327,        4,588,      507,128
//gauge02=rxpGNS!GNS530,        4,112,        507,369
gauge03=..\panel\SierraGauges!p2002_Clock,  550,0,354,114
gauge04=..\panel\SierraGauges!p2002_Hobbs_Meter,  550,122,280,50
gauge05=..\panel\SierraGauges!p2002_EngMgmt,  1021,0,1,1
gauge06=..\panel\SierraGauges!p2002_Rain,  1022,0,1,1
gauge07=..\panel\SierraGauges!p2002_CommSL30,  4,481,  507,109
gauge08=..\panel\SierraGauges!DFII_Autopilot,  773,197,231,232
gauge09=..\panel\SierraGauges!p2002_Initialise,  1023,0,1,1

I created a new panel folder by copying the folder panel.rxp530 and renaming it to panel.GTN. The panel.cfg must contain the above mentioned sections. In the aircraft.cfg you can choose any "RXP530" livery by changing panel= to panel=GTN.
