As orbx have 50 percent off today I was thinking about purchasing FTX England and Scotland, As I already own global can anyone tell me if these two regions work well together?

 

 

 

They were made for each other! Actually all the FTX Europe regions work well together; the trick is to make sure that you have the latest updates for each region and that you install the latest Orbx Libraries last.

Wales in default scenery will stick out quite a bit - FTX Wales is on sale, too, and their included Cardiff rendition (payware grade) is actually rather nice.

Good idea getting Wales! If I could only have two from the FTX EU regions, it would be Wales and Scotland.

I have Orbx England, Scotland, Wales and N.Ireland (haven't got Rep. Ireland yet as ran out of money!) and I think they're all absolutely beautiful.   It's the only place I'm flying at the moment.

 

During the sale, their ENG airfields are so cheap too.  The only one I had previously was Shoreham, but I have just bought Popham, Stapleford and Damyns Hall; each for the princely sum of £4.96.

 

Daz - just read your 'about me' and my exp of FSX was the same; tried it a few years ago and hated it.  I was then told to install FTX, OpusFSX (weather) and buy an A2A plane.          It's been a revelation!

At these prices its hard to say no. I have never bought an Orbx airport before but looking at these prices how can I refuse so  I just bought Southampton,Shoreham and Chichester/ Goodwood. Really must stop now lol.

 

Craig- completely agree with you re FSX. its tough to master but its so rewarding, i recently bought PNW having visited there a few times and it really blew me away. The only trouble I have now is finding time to devote to the sim as things like work get in the way.
