Problems with FS Weather Lite

Featured Replies

I load up FSX and then start FS Weather Lite.  I hit Start FS Weather Lite and then hit Send Weather to FSX, after it loads it looks like it's there. but the altimeter seems to be the same every time.  It defaults to 29.91 when the altimeter is really like let's say 29.83.  I'm wondering if I'm doing this wrong or if there's some problem with some settings.  Thanks.

I assume you mean FSRealWX Lite?

Here's how I got mine set up; with this setup I just start FSX, then start FSRealWX, and go flying.

The rest happens automatically.

OK, so I can press fly now on the FSX screen and then since FS RealWX Lite will already be up, I can just go fly and the weather will be loaded.  Hopefully that does the trick.  Thanks.

I think Penz suggested that you start FSX first, then configure and start FSRealWX.   When I used it months ago, I also did it this way, since you could then see all the weather stations, etc. load onto the FSRealWX screen and you knew that FSX was reading the weather from it.   So after starting FSX with your aircraft on the ground or in the air, pause, minimise and then start up FSRealWX.

I copied his settings on the General Page.  Should I leave all other settings as is?

The other settings should have no bearing on how the program loads, so you can leave them alone (or experiment with them.).

I start FSRealWX Lite while FSX is still on the splash screen. The rest, like I said, is automatic.

OK, thanks I leaved the other settings alone.  It will probably work now.  Thanks for the help.
