June 18, 201411 yr I am running P3d v2 which is generally ok, but I struggle to get a smooth flight at 25-30 fps. My system is i7-930 @4.2ghz, 6mb RAM, GTX480 Asus Rampage 3 motherboard 256mb SSD Win 7 In order to get a bit more performance I was thinking of upgrading my computer. Given that the GPU does more of the work under P3d v2 I was thinking that this would be the best place to splash the cash. Am I likely to see a decent performance increase with a GTX780 or should I look at a new processor instead? Thanks Rich
June 18, 201411 yr 480 a bit long in the tooth now, good card though it was. Don't run P3D myself but have read that a Min of 2GB of Vram is needed for smooth running. That said I guess the answer to your question is YES. Get the best you can afford. Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...
June 18, 201411 yr Hi I just went from a 580 to a MSI 780ti, and i love it. I dint get many FPS in P3D, but much more smooth. /Jack Jack Lorange EKRK
