June 19, 201411 yr Just bought this aircraft and installed it in both FSX, and in P3D2 using the EMT. In FSX everything works fine, but the graphics on the VC are very blurry (can't read the instruments). In P3D2 via EMT everything seems to work fine, graphics are very good, but there are no engine sounds. Sounds in the cockpit are fine - switches, pulling the parking brake, etc. - are OK, but the engines are silent - from both inside the cockpit and external view. Does anybody else have any experience with this aircraft in P3D2? Another question: is this the best Beech 18 for FSX / P3D available? I used to have the FS9 version of Milton Shulpe's freeware Beech 18, which was very good, and I think the Flysimware model is an adaptation of Milton Shulpe's airplane. My system specs: Intel [email protected] - 5.2 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, 32GB DDR4 RAM, Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler,1TB Seagate SSD, 4TB Seagate HD, Windows 10, Asus 32 inch monitor, Saitek Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, Rudder Pedals and Trim Wheel Sims: MSFS2020 Preferred Aircraft Black Square Bonanza, and Baron, A2A Comanche, PMDG DC-6, Red Wing L1049
June 20, 201411 yr Author I have found the solution, if others have this aircraft and wish to fly it in P3D2. I looked at the sound folder for the Flysimware Beech 18, and discovered that it aliases the Grumman Goose. The I compared the Golden Goose sound folders for both the FSX and the P3D2 sim versions, and discovered that they are in fact different. I made a copy of the P3D2 Goose sound folder and removed it then replaced it with a copy of the FSX sound folder. Everything works fine now. Since I don't intend to be flying the default Golden Goose this was a good solution for me. Also, I downloaded the latest Milton Shupe Beech 18 from Flightsim.com, and I was mistaken: they are different. The textures of the Flysimware model are 3D and are sharper. It also has a GPS built into the panel. Nonetheless, the Shupe model is very good. June 20, 201411 yr MIP mapping? Tom "I just wanna tell you both: good luck. We're all counting on you."
June 22, 201411 yr Author MIP mapping? Yes MIP mapping is on, but there is no problem with the aircraft once you replace the sound folders with the FSX folder for the Grumman Goose into P3D2.
