UTC

Recommended Posts

Is this correct.

Eastbound – 0100z to 0800z, Westbound – 1130z to 1900z. Times are UTC at 30° West.

UTC  time is based at 30 degrees west and not Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

 30 degree west puts it at the border of shanwick/gander oceanic.

Thanks,nebojsa

Hello .

I think you're Wrong.

It means that in order to be in the OTS, you must cross the 30°W between 0100z and 0800Z Eastbound

and 1130Z - 1900Z Westbound.

As Always UTC is UTC, it's about the same as GMT.

30°W local time is UTC-2 h

UTC = Universal Time Coordination.

GMT = Greenwich Mean Time

These two are the same, the thing that upsets it is daylight saving. BST is UTC/GMT +1. All times in aviation are in UTC. Also known as Universal Coordinated Time and Zulu.
