July 11, 201411 yr Thanks for that info, Gavin. I had tried the earlier suggestion and would still get my x55 and pedals to drop out of P3D occasionally. Went through the Device Manager list and sure enough, 2 of the USB ports had the tick marks checked. BZ to you, good sir. Mike D. I did the same.. Unticked the option in all usb ports, and even went into power management and disabled selective suspend.. My pedals and yoke still dropped out.. July 12, 201411 yr I've got two little issues with Windows 8.1 although they aren't really P3D related. 1. I can't start TrackIR on High priority like I could in Windows 7 (see my post about that here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/446204-how-to-make-high-priority-stick-for-trackir/ ) which is really annoying because in Windows 8.1 you need even more clicks to get that done manually than in Windows 7. And 2. the nVidia CP's brightness, contrast and gamma settings aren't loaded when I start Windows, so I have to rightclick the desktop and disable and enable the nVidia options everytime. Small annoyances but still... ^_^ Other than that everything seems to be fine. I disabled the power saving options for every USB entry that had that option and so far so good! Now I only have to find the right balance between settings and performance... Even an i7 4790K @ 4.5 and a GTX 780 6 GB need quite a few options turned off or a bit low.
