July 6, 201411 yr On FSX start up everything seems fine except when I go to the "FREE FLIGHT" screen the display is blank. The music, aircraft, weather, location, time, etc all seem normal accept the display area where the turning aircraft should be is blank. If I wait a while and just press "fly now" it will quickly start to load and CTD. Everything was going fine and the last thing I can remember trying to do was to re-install the New York Airports X scenery. After a restart I now have this problem. System: FSX, W7/64 SANDYBRIDGE,SP1&2,REX,UT2,ORBX,GLOBAL/VECTOR,etc As you know, like many simmer: I can hardly sleep, eat,or do the nasties, until I get this figured out. Any help would be appreciated. Walt
July 6, 201411 yr What aircraft are you trying to load? Are you trying to load one of the New York Airports X scenery? I'm thinking you might have changed the default flight. You can check or fix this by moving your fsx.cfg to a temporary directory or renaming your fsx.cfg to fsx.orig then restart fsx and let the config rebuild. If an aircraft is not properly installed, you will not see it in the display area. Best regards, Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! July 7, 201411 yr Author Thanks Firehawk44 Problem Solved. Letting FSX rebuild the CFG file corrected the problem. I have no idea how things got out of wack and caused this problem but I'm grateful to have it fixed. Thanks Firehawk44, Walt
