July 14, 201411 yr I actually worked on the command modules of Project Apollo. North American Aviation. HLJAMES Kudos to you, sir. Were you able to attend any launches in person ? That would probably be my "if I could go back in time and witness any single event in history" pick. 16 July, 1969. Regards,Brian Doney
July 14, 201411 yr Author That would probably be my "if I could go back in time and witness any single event in history" pick. 16 July, 1969. We got lucky that day! Neil had to land the LEM manully because the onboard computers failed. Neil couldn't get the hatch open to get out of the LEM. Buzz had to use a ball point pen in a circuit breaker to fire the main booster rocket in the LEM. HLJAMES
