Simconnect diagnostics

Recommended Posts

Hello all

For whatever reason, whenever I start FSX a 'Simconnect diagnostic' window opens and stays open with fast scrolling text. I can't close this window other than to

end the programme with the task manager. When I do FSX crashes and each time the crash is caused by a different .dll file.

I don't know how this happened so if anyone has any ideas how to cure it that would be good.  Thank you.

Regards

Alan

Hi all

I've just found a post with exactly the same issue-looks like an easy fix!?

Alan,

I had a similar problem with a simconnect issue sometime ago, eventually, I was able to solve by using the repair opion using the original fsx discs. This worked for me, I can't pretend I have any knowledge or experience in understanding why this works I just remember some one else pointing me in that direction and was grateful that it was resolved. Good Luck

Hello Dave

Thanks for your reply. I've resolved it now simply by changing the console=1 to console=0 in the simconnect.ini file. Found that on this forum after I'd posted last night.

Cheers

Alan
