D3DCompiler_43 Crashing FSX.

Featured Replies

My FSX will freeze and a Microsoft Error report will come up. It shows a module that has caused a problem, This being the D3DCompiler_43. It is the latest version I have checked in my Windows files. This is on Windows 8.1. I tried searching other related issues about this but none are specific to my issue. The crash does not show in the AppCrash view or events logs. The only information available is through a Microsoft error report.

This is a Direct X module. Most likely a problem with your video card drivers. If using Beta, get rid of them and go back to WHQL drivers. Make sure you properly installed your drivers by running the installer as an Administrator.

The AppCrashView program only reads Microsoft Error Reports (not Event Viewer stuff) so, if a Windows Error Report (.wer) was created, AppCrashView will see it.

Make sure you are not using any Direct X hacks such as ENB Series or SweetFX.
