Newbie Fsx Build

Featured Replies

This is my first computer build and after educating myself the best I could online this is the parts list I came up with. Is there anything I'm missing here? Are all of these items compatible? Any input to steer me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Swap the Z87 mobo for a Z97 one, the GTX 750 for a 760, and would also swap the cooler for a Corsair H60 or better and you're good to go.

Thanks for the reply and yes, that is the plan.

What about the case? I'm not sure how I came up with that one. If I could save a few bucks there that would be nice. Don't really care what it looks like as long as it's functional ans not to cramped inside.

Looks like a good case and has a large GPU allowance for a micro, but make sure you have thought about:

A- Future-proofing, you are stuck with that size of Mobo.

B- Airflow, yes it has good radiator capacity, but your CPU is not all that needs cooling.

C- cable management and how cramped will it be, which also affect's airflow.

I would go for a mid tower.

Would be good if you could spring for a 770 too.

Just my thoughts,

Regards,

Rick Hobbs
