August 3, 201411 yr Hi guys, I have a GTX 480 and when I switch the dx9 mode to dx10 I lose 6-7 fps. I know that DX10 load many features in the graphic card, and I think that its time for an upgrade. Is the GTX 770 enough for dx10 or will dx10 use the 100% GTX 780 power? Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english Regards Jorge
August 3, 201411 yr You have to consider what advantages you will get with DX10 ? - bloom, shadows. Many users do not experience any performance boost. Still many sceneries even claimed to be compatible with DX10 have issues. I have tried DX10, and I do not see any serious advantage over DX9. I had 480 for long time, and I think it is not bad one, some see, some do not see any advantage with upgrade GPU. Personally I would stick with DX9, just my opinion. Artur
August 7, 201411 yr If you can go for the GTX780. You will see a higher framerate if your other hardware isn't too old... My DX10 setup has better performance than when using DX9.
