August 3, 201411 yr Since I melted one of my CyborgX orange potentiometers, I've been searching everywhere for a spare pot (and in the process, I purchased an X-52). Anyway, I saw in some Chinese web stores (AliExpress, DX, etc...) this Xbox joystick module: If you see the green potentiometer, it looks similar to the orange ones Saitek uses for some of their joysticks (the least abused ones). Has anybody tried replacing the Saitek pots with these ones? August 3, 201411 yr I have no idea if you can use these, but the concern is for the resistive value of the pots. You need to know how many ohms/kil-ohms.meg-ohms the originals are, and if these are the same values. If they are both rated at the same values, they'll probably work (as long at the "sweep" is the same, i.e. 180 degrees, 270 degrees, etc.) -= Gary Barth =-
August 3, 201411 yr Author At least for the rudder I remember the "sweep" being very similar to what I get in Xbox. The limits are not set in the pot, but in the joystick itself. However, despite both being USB rated, you left me thinking about the resistivity...
