Stopping Background Programs?

Hi: I remember back in the old days, there were several programs out there that would stop all running programs/processes when you loaded FS2004...Does anyone know of these programs and if they will still work with Win 8.1? Thanks for the advice...

Type in to your internet search engine razer game booster. You have to register but its still freeware.  Best regards................Ray
