What scrolling text messages? (Translation: there must be a way, 'cause I don't see 'em.) Look under Options > Settings, you'll find a menu for ATC. I think that's where I turned those off.R-(KSAT too)

Thanks Clarke and Ron.The scrolling text messages come from SB3. I have not setup voice mode in SB3, only text. The messages displayed in SB3's console are repeated in FS9's scrolling text. I just wondered if anyone knew of a way to get rid of the scrolling text messages via FS9.I guess this is something that SB3 should have an option for and I guess using voice mode would be one of those options.Thanks for the help guys. Hi Clarke,Does that program from Peter remove the top right screen messages when you switch from VC to 2D cockpit or Spot?Those really bug me. Spot, Virtual Cockpit, Tower, Cockpit......?Also will it remove the Replay Message when using instant replay. That is my other peeve with this especiall when taking screenshots, I dislike having to crop those out, and the Pause key, I don't want any messages at all. HiQuick and dirty mod is addHideInfoText=1to the main(in square brackets) section of the fs9.cfg this will remove all messagesor you can use a program called resourcehacker and edit the language.dll in the main fs9 folder,removing the strings you dont want to show CheersMaV

Joe,You can also download ResHacker from http://www.users.on.net/johnson/resourcehacker/ and use it to edit language.dll in the main folder (what FS will display). This way you can still keep some of the info text if you want it while editing/deleting what you don't want. Some of the more common entries you may want to edit are in resources:2337 (Brake, Replay, Video Record, Zoom Settings),2339 (Stall, Overspeed, Slew),2340 (Sound Off),2341 (View Labels),2343 (Shift+Z info),2344 (Shift+Z info), and2345 (FPS Lock)I unfortunately haven't found a way to do away with specific scrolling text strings, so HideInfoText=1 may be exactly what you want.KevinEDIT: Oops, just reread your post MaV, and saw that you recommended ResHacker earlier. Sorry for the double-up. That little program definitely comes in handy...

Hi,I tried the HideInfoText=1 before but thanks for reminding it.The drawback I've found is that when you go to the menu view/options you get a black screen, sort of a bug I believe.
