August 15, 201411 yr Anyone have any suggestions as to the best system I could get for roughly$1000-$1200? I need to be able to run a bunch of scenery and high end planes at around a fixed 25fps. Thanks, Rob Robert Schumacher My PC: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW, i7 6700k OC'd to 4.6, ASUS Rog Maximus VIII Hero Mobo, 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM, 2 Intel 750 Series SSDs, Creative Sound Blaster Z.
August 15, 201411 yr I wouldn't think there'd be any difference between buying a great gaming rig and buying a great FSX rig. You'll want to ensure you're getting a CPU that can do some serious overclocking, but most gaming rigs are built with this in mind anyway. After that its all about getting good value for each component within your price range.
August 15, 201411 yr i7 4790K / GTX 770 4GB / 8GB 2133-2400mhz ram / Z87 or 97 motherboard /600w+ quality PSU Still need HDD/SSD, case, aftermarket cooling for CPU/OCing, Windows 7, kb/mouse/monitor... Would be very tight with a 1200 budget. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
