Any help is much appreciated.

This happens a lot as I see a lot of Google reports but no one wants to post how they fixed this problem. Perhaps they are embarrassed as it was something dumb they did. I digress...   B)

The third disk contains Acceleration. According to your crash report, Acceleration is properly installed.  All of the FSX modules loaded properly.  Where are you crashing?  At the startup screen or when you load a free flight?

Microsoft Visual C++2005 is out of date and you need version 6161 installed (see AVSIM CTD Guide for link and further details).  This is not a cause of your crash though.

When you start up FSX, are you running it as the Administrator or just clicking on the icon?  You can try going to the main FSX folder and right clicking on FSX.exe and selecting properties.  Once open, click on Compatibility tab and look all the way down at the bottom for Privilege Level.  Make sure "Run this program as an administrator" is checked.  DO NOT click any of the upper compatibility mode options.  Click on the Security tab and make sure Everyone (including your username) has full permissions (don't worry about Special permissions).

Make sure UAC is disabled.

Not sure why the Internet Download Manager loaded when you started up FSX (LoadedModule[105]=C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Download Manager\idmmkb.dll). There is no reason for it to load.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jim,

Thank you for your help thus far, the App Crash initiates upon loading FSX,I have taken your advice and made the changes. One thing also is the short cut that is supposed to appear even when ticked in installation process does not happen(that does not bother me) I just create one anyway.Maybe a complete re install is needed.

Thanks

I don't own the FSX Gold edition but I do know that Acceleration is on the third disk. Normally, FSX is first installed then started up to make sure it is running properly. Then Acceleration is installed. I'm not sure if you can do that with FSX Gold as you probably cannot run it until it is activated. The fact that the shortcut icon is not installed on your desktop indicates to me that you do not have the necessary Windows permissions. You should always make sure UAC is disabled and any anti-virus program is disabled too during the installation process. Make sure you also right click the setup program and select "run as administrator".

I recommend the following guide when uninstalling or installing FSX - http://support.precisionmanuals.com/kb/a87/how-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-fsx .
