"Operation Bolero" Server Needed

Featured Replies

Hi all looking for a Server for a online live event for anything up to 25 and maybe more pilots. We have done the first out of 6 legs its a war birds only flight. The event has been streamed on Twitch by about 5 streamers and the next leg will be the same.

We did the first leg using fshost and found it not to be very good. We have also tried vatsim and its fine but not for formation flying of the B17.

So if anyone could help out would be much appreciated.

Event Details.

is a total distance of 3029nm from Dow, Maine where the Memphis Belle started from in September 1942, via Goose Bay, Narsarsuaq, Keflavik, Vagar, Prestwick and to Duxford as its original base, RAF Bassingbourn (about 4 miles West of Duxford) doesnt seem to have a useable airfield now. All the original airfields used at the time from the North Atlantic Route, even though some now have different names.

The plan is available for plan G and fsx flight plans

Topic title edited as it was all in CAPS.

If you want to fly tight formations use the LAN option in FSX, it's the only way I know now to get smooth performance when in close... just have one of you host and give the IP to the others to join

We in the 91st Bombardment Group (H) regularly fly our A2A B-17G's on historic missions

and transit hops.

Part of our 'Hop Program" requires pilots to fly the same/similar routes as the 91st did in

WWII, for instance the flights from Wala Wala, WA to Bassingbourn (UKBA) over the

North Atlantic route.

We also have a southern route from MacDill, FL down to South America and then across

to North Africa and up to UKBA.

We fly on the Digital Theme Park servers and use the DTP Teamspeak3 server for comms.

If you are in to WWII warbirds, check us out, as we also fly the other A2A aircraft...P-51,

P-47, P-40, Spitfire as well as other 3rd party aircraft (C-47, B-25, Lancaster) .
