March 31, 200521 yr Has any one else had a scenery problem with Larry Hart's excellent add on for The Charlott/Douglas Airport originally for FS2002 but used in FS9? My problem is to the Left/West of R36 where I have a row of white rectangles which I suspect should be trees. Searched on web for solution but to no avail.Any help much appreciated
March 31, 200521 yr I use the scenery as my default and have not seen the problem that you are describing. If you can add a screenshot, I'll be happy to look at the exact area and see if I can duplicate the problem.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg

March 31, 200521 yr Since it's an addon scenery, you probably need Gerrish Gray's trees installed (textures and library BGL - trees_v3.zip)Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International Best, Michael KDFW

April 1, 200521 yr No question but that those are trees, that's what they are on mine.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/110891.jpgThis is what I see. I did notice something when the file was loading that the squares that are present in your shot were there momentarily but only for an instant. It looks as though those trees are loading only partially.Might want to check and make certain that the tree library is properly installed.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg

Do you have Gerrish Grays installed? I have mine in FS9 with tree bgl in main scenery and textures in main texture. Ian>>
April 1, 200521 yr Ian, when I look in the addon sceneryKCLTscenery folder ( which is how I have it set up) there are two "tree bgl" files, one called kclttrees2.bgl, and the other called "novatree.bgl". Do you have the nova gold textures installed? That may be what you need rather than the others. ( Or in addition to)Should be available at: http://www.fsnova.comThat might well be the answer since it looks as though a texture (s) is missing and that might do the trick.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg

Yes I do have Nova Textures in my main Texture folder including the trees. Like you I noticed the 2 tree bgl files in KCLTscenery. BTW I found out that Gerrish Grays' tree scenery files should go into FS9scenerybasescenery rather thanFS9scenery, so did that in high hopes but zilch. Still the white rectangles. At a loss to know what else to do. I take it that in your KLCT texture folder you do not have any tree textures?Ian
April 1, 200521 yr Ian. There are two tree files in the FS9Addon SceneryKCLTTexture folder:nova_tree_01.bmp and nova_tree_02.bmp. If you do not have those, that might be it.EEd GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg
April 1, 200521 yr Ian, how do you have the scenery installed? Is it in the main FS9 scenery folder or do you have it in FS9Add-on Scenery? If you have it in the main folder, I would suggest that you remove it form there and install it in the Add-0n scenery one. This scenery was originally done for FS2002 and has not been updated to my knowledge and that might make a difference.Either way, I think that I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the folder. Can't think of much else to suggest.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg
April 1, 200521 yr EdIt's in my FS9add-on folder.Like you I have run out of ideas. I have uninstalled/reinstalled KCLT and the nova textures but no luck.If I do find a solution I will post it.Thanks so much for you time and patience.Best Wishes from Seaford, on the Sussex Coast,England.Ian
April 1, 200521 yr Sorry couldn't be more successful, Ian. If I can think of anything also, I'll post it.Just out of curiosity, what about your display settings?Mine are:Scenery: all full right except water effects (LOW).Hardware: Render to Texture, Transform & Lighting Checked, MIP=4, Hardware Lights=8, Global Texture= massive. Those are for my ATI Radeon 9700 Pro ( CAT 5.3 Drivers).Might take a look there.Good luck with it.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg
April 1, 200521 yr HI..I had the exact same problem you are describing happening on my FS9.I had the white squares show up momentarily no matter what scenery i was using..I found that if the Autogen Density setting was low the problem did not show up but of course the scenery when flying was boooring. Gerrish Grays trees were installed and also the Nova Textures. My soloution..I had a backup of the FS 9 org. TEXTURE FOLDER. I removed the current FS 9 TEXTURE FOLDER then copied and installed my backup Texture Folder to FS9 then installed my different addon textures,Nova,Dawn to Dusk.etc. It was a shotgun soloution but I elimenated the annoying white squares and now I have the Autogen Density cranked up and things back to normal..
