Hi

Any one else having trouble in the last 24 hours with RC. Mine loads OK radar colours show up

on a white background no map. On the green bar says loaded weather but then comes up RC stopped working

Is it just me if so will try re-install

It sounds like if you have a "green bar" you are either using a network version with Showtext or an ancient version of FSUIPC. Please update from the pinned links.

 

If you are not on a network version go into your FS\modules folder and if you have advdisplay.dll rename it to advdisplay.dlh in make it ineffective.

 

Please fill in your profile section regarding your FS version and environment.

 

I noticed in a few FS forums some people were having problems starting FSX  (without RC) after doing a recent Windows update.

 

Turn off real-world weather in FS to start as it is no longer supported by MS. Are you using an add-on weather app? If you use just FS with a default aircraft and RC does RC come up?

 

Alt-tab to switch windows to see if there are any hidden error messages.

I feel such an idiot as RC is working perfectly and always has, but at least I have learnt that I had not filled in my profile now completed. Once
