September 5, 201411 yr Ok I will ask about another aircraft, has anyone been able to fly the CLS or Just Flight DC-10 model on P3D?
September 20, 201411 yr So far I have two consecutive CTD events trying to launch this aircraft in P3D v2.3, which for me is rock solid. It is not DX10 compaitible, we all know, but I had no problems running it in FSX with DX10 fixer in DX10 preview mode. So I was hoping it would still work in P3D v2. Looks like this one will be a casualty of the transition from FSX, which is sad. If anybody is aware of a fix or a work around solution, I would love to be wrong about this. September 21, 201411 yr I note that this add-on uses all bmp files for textures, which is apparently a no-no in P3D v2. They need to be converted to DDS textures. Also, I note in Appcrashview that in my three CTD experiences attempting to run this DC-10, it was the panels.dll that crashed. So that might be the place to focus our attention in finding a fix or work-around solution. Drink locally, Fly Globally.
October 7, 201411 yr Author I purchased the Just Flight-Tri Star L-1011 for P3D and it worked like a charm. So no need for the DC-10 now.
October 8, 201411 yr Well, that was helpful, I suppose. I AM still trying to get the DC-10 to work, but no luck so far... Drink locally, Fly Globally.
October 8, 201411 yr Author Ripcord did you use migrator to move it over to P3D? I found both CLS MD80 and JFL1011 work great when I used that program.
October 9, 201411 yr Ripcord did you use migrator to move it over to P3D? I found both CLS MD80 and JFL1011 work great when I used that program. Yes sir I did. And I have also had good luck with other CLS aircraft, just not this one. Drink locally, Fly Globally.
October 9, 201411 yr I have been messing with the DDS converter and the regular textures are converting but the panel is a serious issue. Somebody that knows something about how to make a panel in P3D would probably have to roll up their sleeves and apply themselves to make this work. Drink locally, Fly Globally.
