If you want to soar....

Featured Replies

that is, if you would like to fly a sailplane, the Silent Wings demo package is quite stunning!I just flew around for about 30 mins and if it had not been for the airbrakes, I would likely still be up there!Amazing package... worked 100% right after the download. Just needed to set the graphics to my native resolution 1280x1024 and off I went!Totally smooth, no hint of texture loading (Microsoft, are you listening?) and just lovely, lovely... quite a treat!Look on the front page for the Silent Wings link.

Wrong forum but if you love sailplanes and soaring then you have to give SilentWings a try.The aerotows are superb and the thermal and wind modeling brilliant - something that I have wished for many years that MS would add to MSFS.It's loads of fun flying competition tasks and very challenging when you set the thermal activity low and have to cover hunderds of kilometers over mountaineous terrain without an engine. This is back to the basics flying in it's purest form.BTW : The download is a fully functional product with a 2 week time limit. I did over 3000km and 30+ hours in one week racing against the AI pilots with the beta version.Paul
