September 7, 201411 yr Calling on experienced Airbus pilots here because I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, I missed a setting, or I have a compatibility issue? I have watched a number of tutorials on Utube looked over the manual but I am still having an issue with the PFD and ND failing to rotate with aircraft heading change. I have used the FO's MCDU to configure the aircraft as cold and dark and worked through the checklists but even if I configure the aircraft panel state for take off the problem persists. Essentially the heading tape at the bottom of the PDF will scroll left or right but the ND will remain locked at 0 degrees no matter which direction the aircraft is headed or pointed in. I have waited for the IRS to align after switching them to nav (6 minutes) and aligned it in the MCDU and I have made sure the Freeze option is not selected after pressing the Data key in the MCDU I have mip mapping unchecked in the P3D options. Any of you heard of a similar situation I'm a bit lost on what to try next aside from a re-install? Thanks, Robert RE Thomason Jr.
September 7, 201411 yr Author Found the answer in the thread below if anyone else has the same issue. I bought my Airbus while on sale a while back and am just now getting around to try using it so it looks like I had an earlier version. Updating and reinstalling... http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/76834-airbus-x-extended-nd-problems-p3dv2/ RE Thomason Jr.
