P3D v2.3 not run with SweetFX

Featured Replies

I don´t know if you are having the same problem, but i can´t run Prepar3D 2.3 when enable sweetfx. The version i´m using is 1.5.1 i put all the files in P3D folder but when i click on P3D.exe the sim does not open. How can i fix this?

If you use win 8.1, you're out of luck. If you use win 7, then it should work using the download in my sig.

I'm currently investigating on making sfx work in 2.3, under win 8.1. Currently, it works incorrectly in full screen and possibly cause p3d to crash.

For the uninitated like me.  Could you explain why you want to use an FSX tweak in P3D?

It's not an FSX specific "tweak". It's a generic plugin being used on hundreds of other games. Learn more from the link in my sig. Maybe I need to make that sig larger so people notice it more easily. Hmm... *frustrated*.

i am using windows 8 and sweetfx worked very well in prepar3d 2.2, but strangely it does not work in 2.3

Last time I checked 2.2 on win 7, it was working great. Aside for slowing down when navigating through the menu bar, which was no-biggy.

This time around, I'm on 2.3 and win 8.1.. now you have to make the difference between win 8 and 8.1, since 8.1 is dx12 and 8 is dx11, similar to win 7, which means less problems.

I'm tracking the sfx developers to see if they're about to release their new injector. They're working on a new solution with much better compatibility.
