I got this message via PM, and I don't do support through PMs (other people can see threads and get help just by reading, whereas only one person is helped via PM; and I don't like being thought of as a personal assistant like that), so I'm starting a thread for the guy in hopes other people will gain from this discussion, and someone might have an answer for him.  I usually just respond to that effect, but since he mentioned English wasn't his first language, I figured I'd help him out by getting him started.

The following is paraphrased:

I'm having difficulty to finding a response to these problems. Could you help me?

Issue #1
When I load a saved flight, there is no data on the screen. I have to reload the flight to fix it, which sometimes works, and sometimes it doesn't.
-I run FSX as an administrator.
-I have already reinstalled FSX and PMDG NGX and 777 due to a PC crash (graphics problems on GEFORCE 560).

Issue #2
Recently, I cannot finish my flights because it suddenly goes out of control (AP, VNAV LNAV engaged).
Would you have an idea?

My initial thoughts are:

Possible Solution to #1

Corrupt flight save?

Possible Solution to #2

I remember this one coming up before and it being related to something weird like FSUIPC, or a weird assignment.

Anyone else have thoughts?

What does "no data on the screen" actually mean?

With regards to Issue #2, "out of the box" on my first flight with tutorial #1 I had the same issue.  I checked the Failures and Maintenance settings and found that Flight Control Channel A under Automatic Flight was set to fail. Turned that off and haven't had the issue since.

Morning Bill

I glanced at failures and maintenance and there is no problem.

I planned an other VOR flight and all was good and i could crash at the arrival....! Gear up....No comment please!

Thank you for your solution

Pierre

Hello Morsalbato

no data on the screen means there are blank screen on EADI, EHSI CDU...

The saved flights by the menu FSX are correctly loaded with the airplane position without the above datas.

I save the cockpit statements with CDU fs actions. When i load sometimes the datas dont appeared.

Regards

Pierre
