September 17, 201411 yr Commercial Member Hi, Do the FQI computers send the engine data to SATCOM and then SATCOM gives to the ECAM? Thanks No (to everything you have typed) they are not computers, they are probes, two of them collectively called the FQI system. In your last topic we explained what SATCOM is used for. How about telling us what you are trying to achieve, and the point of these questions? This is what you would sound like to a green grocer. 'Does the Apple peel on the Banana fit nicely around the Orange?..' You are using correct terminology, however you are talking nonsense.. Rob Prest
September 17, 201411 yr Author Yes, I just want this info to learn! But in my previous topic, you gave me a link with the SATCOM thing, it was saying that it was for the engine parameters, so what is the link between them? Ok for the computer, i read it wrong in the F-COM Thanks Airbus A330-203
September 17, 201411 yr Commercial Member SATCOM is just satellite communication. Airlines can pay for real time data from the aircraft to be sent for maintenance and monitoring purposes. Rolls Royce offer a package that allows them to monitor the aircraft's engines in real time. This is sent to them using (SAT)ellite (COM)munication Real time monitoring is just one of many uses. Cheers Rob Prest
September 17, 201411 yr Author Ah!! I was completely wrong (as always) So it sends data to the satellites which sends that date to the maintenance of the airline, right? Thanks a lot! Airbus A330-203
