September 23, 201411 yr Author Thanks for the explanation, Fr. Bill. I never knew that. Here is how I was able to correct the problem. A fellow member of the virtual DC-3 club (www.dc3airways.com), suggested I go to the Start button in my tool bar then type in Regedit, then click on the file that appeared called regedit.exe, then click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Lockheed Martin and delete that LM Folder. Next go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Lockheed Martin and delete that LM Folder. I then was able to delete the existing Prepar3D files that I could not do before. After that I re booted the computer and there on the Desktop was a new Icon for P3D. I double clicked on it and it started the new P3D v2.3 program. It took me through each step including activating my license. All seems to be in order. I have started the program and everything seems to work as it should. I checked the version number in the cfg file and it is 2.3.11345.0, so it looks like everything is OK. Thank you all for responding to my plea for help. Once again you have proven that the majority members of our hobby care about helping each other. Howard
