FTX free airport scenery with MSE or default terrain scenery?

Featured Replies

I found a couple airport sceneries I want in FTX' freeware section (https://www.fullterrain.com/freeware), but I don't have FTX products.

Would they work with default FSX scenery?  What about with MegaSceneryEarth's Ultra-Res products (I have Ultra-Res Los Angeles+San Diego)....

Thank you!

I have tried their payware Orcas Island scenery with MSE Washington and apart from some issues with the water and coast line it worked quite well. But if you have none of their payware products such as PNW, So California or similar, I am not so sure, where their freeware stuff will install on your computer, as I assume its automatic installer will look for genuine ORBX scenery installations.

Maybe you just give it a try.

My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

They usually don't work as they should, mainly due to the object libraries being part of the region or shared textures from the region it's in.. You can always try them, but they were meant to be used with the FTX products.

Best, Michael
