September 22, 201411 yr Hello All, Yesterday I was doing a long haul flight when I received all sorts of warnings ending with a twin engine shutdown. I have been told by someone that this was an issue with saved panel states. I used the default profile that comes with the fictional BAV livery. I had failures disabled, so I'm not sure how this happened. Has this random failure been reported before, if so is there a fix? Thanks Andy Elesky
September 23, 201411 yr Commercial Member I had failures disabled, so I'm not sure how this happened. I have failures disabled on my copy of Microsoft Excel, too, so I'm not sure how my co-workers corrupted Excel file crashed the program. (See where I'm going there? If not, see below.) Has this random failure been reported before, if so is there a fix? Yep. Delete the file, or replace it with the original one that came with the livery ZIP file. Panel states - like any other file - can eventually get corrupted. There's nothing you can really do about that, as a developer or otherwise. Kyle Rodgers
September 24, 201411 yr Hi Andy, I also experienced an dual failure following a long-haul over the pole. If you've addressed to possible corruption issue you might also post the chain of failures that preceded the dual shutdown. I'm curious as my own was self-inflicted, resulting after an extended failure on my behalf to properly address a low fuel temp condition. That cascaded into other warnings and eventual glider mode short of Hong Kong  Dan Dominik "I thought you said your dog does not bite.... That's not my dog."
September 27, 201411 yr Yep same here. Has happened three times so far and each time during x4 accelerated flight where the aircraft went into overspeed. I have failures disabled in the FMC. I do not used any saved panel states. I have only the default PMDG liveries. Rob Robson
