After using Process Explorer, I have found it not to be an OOM error. I replaced UIautomationcore.dll to fix a previous CTD.

If anyone can shed light on how to proceed with this error, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks! :)

A BEX (Buffer_Exchange_Overrun) crash with no faulting module usually indicates you will soon be getting a StackHash which all means that your fsx/display driver settings are set too high. I do not seen anything else in your crash reports that would tell us the cause. You will have to conduct an investigation to find the culprit that's causing your crash(es).

I believe that the game crashed on msadrh15.dll.

Not possible. It successfully loaded at Module 259.

After using Process Explorer, I have found it not to be an OOM error. I replaced UIautomationcore.dll to fix a previous CTD.

I do not understand this comment as I do not see where the uiautomationcore.dll in your main fsx directory loaded. So, what uiautomationcore.dll did you replace? You cannot replace a system dll or the one in your System32 folder. If you did then you need to run a program to scan your system for corrupted or missing system files and the proper file will be reinstalled. Here is how to scan your system for corrupted files: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/ht/sfc-scannow.htm. In the AVSIM CTD Guide, there is a section on the uiautomationcore.dll and which versions to install in your main fsx directory. No other versions will work. The uiautomationcore.dll fix is used to fix the menu crashes or right clicking your mouse at least 20 times. When you do this, FSX will freeze up or crash (I have tried to duplicate it but have not been successful). When you put the proper version of the uiautomationcore.dll in this main fsx folder, this issue will be fixed and you can enjoy fsx once again.

The ENBSeries mod will also produce a crash. Well known cause of freezes, crashes, and graphics anomalies if not employed properly. You might want to remove the module from your main FSX folder and see if this fixes your problem. More info in the AVSIM CTD Guide.

As I stated earlier, you will need to investigate if none of the above suggestions work. We have put those investigative techniques in the AVSIM CTD Guide. For instance, rebuilding your fsx.cfg, disabling all of your addon scenery in the Scenery Library, disabling all of your mods in the dll.xml, lowering your settings, getting rid of any tweaks as many tweaks are "bad" and not properly employed for your computer.

Wish there was a "magic bullet" to fix your problem but unfortunately there is none. It is very rare when there is a fix that will work for everyone.

Thanks for the reply, do I need to alter the settings much? :)

All I did was I took ownership of UIAutomationcore and switch the file with the new one, I am running the diagnostic now. Hopefully this irritating error wile come to an end soon!

Thanks again :)

If you are putting the uiautomationcore.dll in your main fsx directory, it can only be one of two versions (see AVSIM CTD Guide for versions and link to one). The one in your system file is part of Microsoft.net framework packages which is required for software to run properly. So I'm not sure what you are doing. Taking ownership of the FSX folder is fine and that will cover every file inside the FSX folder.

Sometimes these errors are simply one time events. You shutdown your computer system and run FSX again and the error goes away. But, if there is a problem with your FSX configuration, the error will not go away until you fix it.

All of my settings are now on medium low and the error is still presisting, same as before. Not even close to being out of memory

Also, ENB is currently enabled, but the error still occured when I temporarily disabled it.

Is the faulting module still unknown?

Again, you should not be putting any uiautomationcore.dll in your fsx directory.

If you are running the ENB Series mod, then that could still be the cause even if you have temporarily disabled it (how did you do that? Pull the enb.ini out of your main fsx directory? The dll's are still loading as every dll that goes into your main fsx directory is loaded. There have just been too many crashes caused by the ENB Series mod and the SweetFX mod. In fact, when they were first introduced by someone, almost everyone was seeing crashes. These hacks of DirectX libraries can only create issues.

If you have any tweaks, suspect one or all of them causing your crashes.

There is nothing in your crash report that provides any clues as to what caused your crash. You do have some strange things loading with FSX though -

LoadedModule[204]=C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\ieproxy.dll

LoadedModule[187]=C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\TortoiseOverlays\TortoiseOverlays.dll

LoadedModule[188]=C:\Program Files\TortoiseSVN\bin\TortoiseStub32.dll

LoadedModule[189]=C:\Program Files\TortoiseSVN\bin\TortoiseSVN32.dll

LoadedModule[190]=C:\Program Files\TortoiseSVN\bin\libsvn_tsvn32.dll

LoadedModule[191]=C:\Program Files\TortoiseSVN\bin\libapr_tsvn32.dll

LoadedModule[193]=C:\Program Files\TortoiseSVN\bin\libaprutil_tsvn32.dll

LoadedModule[194]=C:\Program Files\TortoiseSVN\bin\intl3_tsvn32.dll

LoadedModule[195]=C:\Program Files\TortoiseSVN\bin\libsasl32.dll

LoadedModule[231]=c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live\WLIDNSP.DLL

I would follow the guidance in the AVSIM CTD Guide if you cannot find a solution.

Thanks for the Reply

I use tortoise SVN for installing some mods into Garry's mod, not sure why it's loading in FSX, but I've had it for aged and it never used to crash

UIautomationcore.dll has been removed form FSX directory, replacing ENB with SweetFX to see if that changes anything

UPDATE:

sigh, my settings are on med low and I'm still getting the unknown CTD, thought it had gone away. It only happens when I am using the alt menu, or the right click menu btw. I'm on the verge of doing a fresh reinstall, but i don't want the hassle.

The system uiautomationcore.dll is corrupt and cannot be repaired. Since the uiautomationcore.dll is part of Microsoft.net, go to the Microsoft.net website and download and install the latest version. FSX/Acceleration also requires Microsoft.net 2.0 to be installed (and in many cases 3.0 and 3.5 depending on addons). Microsoft.net packages are not backward compatible and FSX/Acceleration is a very old game. See the AVSIM CTD Guide for versions required plus a link to the website to download the versions required. You may have to do a repair of Windows 7. You have to have a copy of the uiautomationcore.dll, version 6.1.7600.16385 in the Windows/System32 directory AND, if you have the 64 bit version of Windows 7, a copy must be in Windows/SysWoW64 directory.

Ok, think I fixed it (at least/i hope)! I seemed to have had a record 45 minutes of gameplay doing cirucits around Birmingham in the Aibus X a319 without a crash!

UIautomationcore.dll : I took your advice ands installed th latest version of UIautomationcore.dll

No error yet, I put it in Sys64WOW as well as win32. The correct Microsoft.net frameworks were already installed.

Unknown CTD: I reinstalled FSX, keeping the aircraft but wiping the scenery. That seems to have fixed it! I fiddled around with the display settings too.

Thanks
