Compliment and a question

Featured Replies

I'm almost through the videos (just one more to go) and I must say - Great work! I bought the airplane and the training some time ago but didn't have time to watch it or fly the airplane. Now I have some time and decided to first start with the videos than I'll go fly. I also look forward to other training videos you'll make in the future.

One question though.. thruout the videos I noticed the airplane is very frequently slightly shaking or bouncing, even while on the ground with engines off. Why is that?

Thanks for the kind comments. To answer your question there is a strange quirk in the Q400 when using EZDOK in that the dynamic head movement gets triggered even when the aircraft isn't moving and the engines are shut down. I suspect it has something to do with the way the flight model works and 'slews' the Q400 through the air rather than it going directly through FSX.

The solution is to save a forward camera view with the DHM turned off to use on the ground and another identical camera view to use once the pushback has started and the aircraft is moving. Sadly I only figured this out after we'd wrapped up filming. Hey ho...
