After several attempts to improve performance I give up! I dont know why i get such low frames. I primarily fly the NGX and Airbus x. PC specs listed below. Ive tried numerous tweaking guides to new improvement. Ive tried turning FSX settings right the way down but it doesnt help. 

 

Graphics Card: 

Sapphire Radeon R9 270X Dual-X Boost OC AMD Graphics Card 2GB Graphics Card

Processor: 

AMD (Piledriver) FX-6300 3.50GHz (4.10GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 6-Core Processor

 

Ram:

8GB (2x4GB) Crucial Ballistix Sport 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Dual Channel Kit  

PSU: 

EVGA 500W 80 Plus Power Supply

MOBO:

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P AMD Socket AM3+ Motherboard

 

Operating system: WIN 8.1 64bit

I don't have 8.1 so I can't make any specific suggestions.  I do suspect background tasks are the problem.  I think the easiest way to verify this is by using Razer Gamebooster.  It will suspend any tasks that might be causing the problem.  At least it's something to try.  Here's a link to read about it and download if you think it might be worthwhile: http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html
