Axis Indicator Question

The following was asked in a thread about 2.4 installation issues

 

Steve,

 

did version 2.4 change the axis indicator back to black? This seemed to be a minor issue until version 2.2 or 2.3 which changed the color back to its original red color (easier to see) but after installing version 2.4, they have returned to black.

I am not sure what you are asking. In the past the indicator was black until version 2.2 or 2.3. Not sure why it returned to the correct color (red) but it just did.

The Axis indicator is black in DX10.

 

From Version 2.3 onwards there is a fix for this which makes the axis indicator red.

 

This is controlled by a Tick box in the Other Dialog in the Controller.

 

In the Dialog the Axis Fix is on the right hand side, under the 8 bit texture fix.

I have noticed that the axis fix cause issues in fog with taxiways which show through the fog - it will be fixed in 2.5
