October 10, 201411 yr Hello, I have recently installed dash8 q400 into prepar3d 2.4 and all is working fine except for the sounds in the external views (e g locked spot). The problems is that, outside the cockpit, only the sounds from inside the VC are heard. So there is no engine sound or APU/GPU, as they are supposed to be heard outside the VC. In FSX I do not have this issue. Has anyone come accross this issue? Any hint for solving this? Thanks! April 29, 201610 yr I cannot find "HideInfoText" in P3D.cfg, all i can see is "ShowInfoText=1"...i looked everywhere, i couldnt find it.
April 30, 201610 yr Commercial Member It is not in the P3D.cfg by default, but some users have been using it as one of the tweaks from FSX to get rid of the test messages like the brakes. P3D has instead provided the option for one to select which messages not be displayed in the SIM....this however can yield the same effect as the "HideInfoText=1" tweak. May 3, 201610 yr I tried that in the options menu, removing the text info. I still cannot hear. The sound inside and outside is the same.
