October 13, 201411 yr Hello, You program looks wonderful, but it is much more than I need right now. How do I remove the splash screen that SIMstarter added? Please tell me how without using SIMstarter. I'm using Prepar3d 2.4 Thank you. Ken
October 13, 201411 yr Commercial Member Hi Ken, the normal way should have been, that after a SIMstarter profile start the original SplashScreen would be returned. Looks like that did not in your way. The easiest way to get your SplashScreen back is to copy the default picture back to <YOUR PREPAR3D FOLDER>\Uires Go to: <YOUR SIMstarter Folder>\SplashScreens\PREPAR3D\ copy "PREPAR3D_default.bmp" to <YOUR PREPAR3D FOLDER>\Uires\ rename "PREPAR3D_default.bmp" to "dlgsplash_academic.bmp" If you don't want to use SplashScreens you can simple disable the use of SplashScreens. Edit a profile > SplashScreen > Check "Don't use SplashScreen" in upper right corner. You must do that for every profile. ;O) : : : aviation.pero-online.deDeveloper of SIMstarter NG P3D & Homecockpit Builder
October 13, 201411 yr Author Thank you Pero for your reply, Yes, I want to make the splash screen go away (not change it). Before I first ran SIMstarter I had no splash screen. Now, even if I don't run SIMstarter I always get a splash screen. SIMstarter must have changed a setting in Prepar3D and I would like to reverse it. What setting in Prepar3D did SIMstarter change to make the splash screen appear? I would prefer to reverse this without using SIMstarter. Again, you have made a great program, but its a bit too much for what I need to do. Thanks for your help. Ken
October 13, 201411 yr Commercial Member Hi Ken, there is no Switch, that SIMstarter changes to bring in a SplashScreen. The "normal" P3D SplashScreen should have been visible before using SIMstarter. SIMstarter just changes the .\Uires\dlgsplash_academic.bmp with a Bitmap of your choice. There are no other changes done in case of SplashScreens from SIMstarter. I am sure. ;O) : : : aviation.pero-online.deDeveloper of SIMstarter NG P3D & Homecockpit Builder
October 13, 201411 yr Author I believe you. I'm wondering if I had deleted the default splash screen file as some point and SIMstarter restored it. I'll test that out. Thx
