April 18, 200521 yr Asked for a new download link from FSD with ID number ... soon afterwards it was downloaded. Tried to install and it gives me an ERROR#4 which is:1. You are not connected to the Internet... I AM CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET2. You are running through a proxy server that is preventing communication... I AM NOT RUNNING THROUGH A PROXY SERVER3. You are behind a firewall that is blocking communication... I'M USING McAFEE AND DISABLED EVERYTHING JUST FOR FSD4. You could have a problem with 128 bit encryption in your browser.... ALL ENCRYPTION IS FULLY ENABLED 5. You could have a damaged internet system due to spyware.... THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY SYSTEM AND AD-AWARE TELLS ME THERE IS NOTHING ON THE PC THAT SHOULD CAUSE AN ALARM6. Our server could have been temporarily down when you tried to connect... THEY ASSURE ME THAT THEIR SERVER IS UP AND RUNNINGNow FSD does not want to register the Cheyenne with their MANUAL system because they say I have tried to register it online and should therefor "FIX" my system to do it ...??There is nothing wrong with my system!! Everything is working 100% and all other registration, banking etc etc are working 100% ...Two questions:1. What could be the reason that I can not register with FSD?2. Why don't they just let me do a manual registration?RegardsTerblanche
April 18, 200521 yr Do you have any sort of Firewall or norton Internet Security running?Do you have Microsoft AntiSpyware installed?Im not saying its the cause, or its your fault, but sometimes these things need checking.Other than that, Im not sure what you can do, I have never seen this problem before.FSD will get you sorted one way or another.Jason
April 18, 200521 yr Hi,May I ask you if Windows Service Pack 2 is installed on your computer ?If you can positively respond to this aforementioned question, have you thought to disable XP firewall, which may be the culprit preventing you to get access to their server ?It must certainly be the case, but who knows ?I highly recommend you to post your message on FSD forum in order to determine if someone else has already encountered the same issue.Hope this helps.Kind regards,Vincent Mellinger
April 18, 200521 yr Yes I have WindowsXP (Sp2) and yes the XP firewall is disabled.I will try the FSD forum.T
April 18, 200521 yr From experience, their support is second to none. With your problem's however I would contact them directly by e-mail. The forum may take too long.Don't give up, this new update is wonderful.Best RegardsBoone,[email protected]"Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle. April 18, 200521 yr Ah, the weekly "FSD is evil" rant. Was wondering what had been missing.FSD have their own support forums and email which works very well. Why don't you try that if you have any intention to do anything but try to make them look bad?
April 18, 200521 yr There is nothing in his post about FSD being evil! He contacted them, got the new EXE file, as I just did. Tried to install had tons of issues with it, tried various things he could think of and asked here if anyone had any ideas, geeez! (rolls eyes)I find their forums not to user friendly to register and log into, so I would ask here first myself.Hope you get it worked out soon Terblanche, the update is awesome!Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International Best, Michael KDFW
April 18, 200521 yr Oh please get a life !!!No one is trying to make them "look bad" - I'm trying to find out why I can not register online.
April 18, 200521 yr Hi again,I saw you have tried to get access to their forum but it may be helpful to know that your account is not automatically activated and you must wait for logging in that the administrator enables your account.Hope this helps.Kind regards,Vincent Mellinger
