April 24, 200521 yr These guys do some very nice scenery in Italy with moving jetways and trucks at certain stands. http://isdproject.flightsimmer.com/index_eng.htmIt's also freeware.Have funcheersTimhttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair1.gif
April 24, 200521 yr >Air jetty>Air bridge>aerobridgeNever heard it called any of those. I've always heared it refrred to as a jetway.
April 24, 200521 yr In Dutch it's commonly called a "slurf", meaning an elephant's trunk.Jaap Verduijn.
April 24, 200521 yr Slurf works for me, lol! I've always called it a jet walk, but I think I'll change. And another vote for the ISD sceneries. They're fabulous and have a lot more than moveable slurfs in it -- de icing trucks, rolling stairs, light signals. It's fantastic.BlairCYOW
April 24, 200521 yr 'slurf' is good for me too. It's always good to develop some competence in another language.
April 24, 200521 yr does anyone know of any good freeware sites to downloadn "slurfs" or jetty ways or any ony other name?? ;) ;)also if there is any freeware sites to download them for Australian Airports or Israeli or American airports?thanksbrandon
April 25, 200521 yr You should give the RWY12 Object Placer Program a try. You will be able to add your own jetways to any airport anywhere. It is available here at Avsim - just do a search for RWY12.
April 25, 200521 yr A lot of the default airports have them but you gotta crank up your display settings to see them......
April 25, 200521 yr During my time with a major airline, some twenty five years, the jetways, which appeared in the fifties and sixties, were always refered to as the "hog chutes" by the flight crews.Regards,Frederick
