I have downloaded a few off simflyers but htey are only demos and you have to pay for the full thing.is there one like the ones you download off simflyers but as freeware?thanksbrandon

>Air jetty>Air bridge>aerobridgeNever heard it called any of those. I've always heared it refrred to as a jetway.

In Dutch it's commonly called a "slurf", meaning an elephant's trunk.Jaap Verduijn.

Slurf works for me, lol! I've always called it a jet walk, but I think I'll change. And another vote for the ISD sceneries. They're fabulous and have a lot more than moveable slurfs in it -- de icing trucks, rolling stairs, light signals. It's fantastic.BlairCYOW

'slurf' is good for me too. It's always good to develop some competence in another language.

jetway

does anyone know of any good freeware sites to downloadn "slurfs" or jetty ways or any ony other name?? ;) ;)also if there is any freeware sites to download them for Australian Airports or Israeli or American airports?thanksbrandon

You should give the RWY12 Object Placer Program a try. You will be able to add your own jetways to any airport anywhere. It is available here at Avsim - just do a search for RWY12.

A lot of the default airports have them but you gotta crank up your display settings to see them......

During my time with a major airline, some twenty five years, the jetways, which appeared in the fifties and sixties, were always refered to as the "hog chutes" by the flight crews.Regards,Frederick
