Sony Vaio Hand Held.

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have this Sony Vaio Hand Held and it's pretty old now, I was thinking of putting it up as a nav aid for X plane. Or just for Sectional Charts.  Though it's only a 5 inch touch screen.

The problem is I have put android on it and to me it's useless and the other problem is I cannot reinstall WIn XP as the USB ribbon inside is broken and it cannot be replaced, and the other problem is I don't know where the network cable is as this is different type of Network connector.

Can anyone or does anyone know how to install Win XP using Grub and loading it up in the RAM so I can install Win XP ?

Thanks.

So it's a net book - no DVD, USB INOP.

What do you mean different network port? There's no Ethernet port?

There's only one standard of Ethernet (well ports at least) I know of.

Ryan,

Yes No DVD. The USB is broken.

It has an Ethernet but the connector is different else I would have installed from a Windows Deployment image.
