Couple of problems with v2.4 build1

Recommended Posts

Hi Pero,

Couple of problems with v2.4 build 1...

1) Two programs won't run from the StartDefinitions window. See attached screenshots. Paths to the programs are definitely correct.

The other problem is that when FSX is finally running I can hear the sounds but the desktop still shows. Only by pressing Alt+Enter can I then see FSX. Pressing Alt+Enter again does show it in windowed mode. It does this with both Maximised Window and Window.

One final question. How do I get a tick box in Master Scenery? All my scenery is enabled but I can't find a way to enable that option.

Hi Ray,

thank you for your feedback.

1) Run Error

I think that the working directory could be the problem. Please send me a PM with your email adress, I would like to send you the current beta which will set a working directory.

Have you started SIMstarter with "Adminstrator" Rights?

2) Sound problem

That is a strange thing. I never heard about such problem before. What if you start your FSX without SIMstarter?

3) Master Scenery

There should be a "tickbox" at the left side in the SceneryManager at column "Active". Just tick or untick.

Hi Pero,

1) I have UAC switched off so everything I run is effectively with Admin rights. PM sent.

2) If I switch off the option to go straight into FSX and display the Free Flight screen it's fine. I haven't tried it without Simstarter running but will do. I normally choose to display the Free Flight screen rather than load a flight directly. It's not so much a sound problem as a display one. FSX just doesn't appear at all but is active hence why I can hear the engines running.

3) Thanks. I found the option after posting.
