November 14, 201411 yr Same thing, I have to restart it again and again and again. I've almost given up using it and would love to use Prepar3d but none of the things I use on a regular basis are even allowed on it at present. So It's either this or nothing. Today's problem seems to be the joystick has completely quit working even though it was working perfectly yesterday. This is completely different from the joystick cutoff problem with windows 8. It simply will not start to begin with. So instead of wasting my whole afternoon to figure out why I'm just going to give up and spend my afternoon doing something. Unless anyone here has an idea as to why a perfectly functional joystick will not work in FSX.
November 14, 201411 yr Administrators Is the joystick recognized by the computer? Have you tried another USB port? Did the USB port go into sleep mode? November 14, 201411 yr Author Yep it's even recognized by FSX yet doesn't do anything when I click buttons.
November 14, 201411 yr Administrators Interesting! Is it just none of the buttons work or does joystick movement also not work? Maybe it died a peaceful death overnight.
