Will the dhm and bump aircraft features work when using an alternative weather engine such as asnext? Or do I need to use the opus weather engine for realistic turbulance effects?

It will work without the LWE, but It works best with the Opus LWE as the LWE is able to coordinate and supervise the turbulence in real time.

 

As with Buttkicker, Live Camera's RW DHM, and Live Weather, they are designed to work in unison to provide maximum realism. Hence all turbulence, including clear air turbulence is all controlled and supervised in real time by the Opus LWE, using its one million plus meteorological parameters to determine the turbulence levels. This sort of control is impossible when using the very limited and basic weather data within the sim.
