November 21, 201411 yr In fs2004 when I engage an ILS approach something happens. The plane goes off the glide scope and is too low and I would have to take over and its hard to land in bad weather. Is there any way I can fix this?
November 21, 201411 yr Check that you are in APPR mode and that you have your flaps set to FULL, your approach speed should be at least 145kts in clear weather, 155-165kts in bad weather. Tim Wright "The older I get, the better I was..."

November 22, 201411 yr If the airspeed drops too low on final descent you will lose lift and sink below the glideslope. Because the selected speed is too low to enable the plane to climb, it keeps sinking into the ground. As a test, set the speed to 160 on approach and flaps full with 30% fuel in clear weather, that should do it. Tim Wright "The older I get, the better I was..."
