After reading the review of PMDG B1900C I get the impression that this is a better product than the old PMDG B1900D because of the new custom designed gauges insead of old default gauges.Is it also better in other regards for example the documentation?

Yeah I think it's better all around - the smooth gauges in the VC and the fact that they're custom designed to more closely reflect the real aircraft is a big improvement over the 1900D in that respect. Don't let me be one to tell you not to buy everything PMDG has put out though! [;)]

I haven't looked at the D since, but that's because the C satisfies my cargo freak needs. It is a much better aircraft in every way, the documentation is really light though just like the D but that's OK. I had trouble starting her up but only because I wasn't holding the start switch I just clicked it once... duh!I'd recommend the C definately. The biggest plus is the fuel gauge actually works now! I just wish they would give me working windshield wipers too :(
