May 3, 200521 yr Anybody know where to edit the overspeed alarm? I have overlooked it in the aircraft.cfg and/or airfile for the aircraft.I have an alarm going off a bit under spec. for my Gulfstream V's.Thanks:RTH
May 3, 200521 yr It is in the FDE, actually in two places, I would change them both to make sure.Under 'engine type' you should find 'max speed mach', and under 'main dynamics' look for VMO.Change those to something more suitable. Works for me.Cheers,Bob
November 6, 200520 yr Hello RTH:Did you ever get an answer somewhere or find out where the overspeed alarm setting is located? Thanks a lot,Clarindo
November 6, 200520 yr Here is what I found from macwan30 posting:Yeah, using AIRED you will need to change the MMO section (Maximun Mach allowed) to a hugher number like...(.95000)and change your Max Airspeed to a higher number. This works!
November 7, 200520 yr We all do not know what the "FDE" is or where in the acft file it is located. Please explain . Thanks jerrycwo4
November 7, 200520 yr It's the .air file. YOu need an editor like AIRED to be able to edit it. It's not in the aircraft.cfg
