mouse scroll wheel not working

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Seems all of a sudden I can't use my mouse wheel or left and right clicks on some cockpit dials.

Works fine on auto brake however nothing happening on range dial, altitude, speed or heading dials etc.

I've reinstalled the ngx and hasn't fixed it.

Any ideas.

Repeat after me:

"Troubleshoot before re-install...troubleshoot before re-install..."

It rarely ever fixes the issue, honestly, so it's just wasted time.

Are you sure it's not your eyepoint? While it's not as common as on the 777 because of the shorter fuselage, the eyepoint can shift such that it's partially in the headrest. If you're using a camera program, you might have adjusted it in a way that put it in the headrest, or you may have done it on your own using CTRL, SHIFT and CTRL+SHIFT, along with ENTER/BACKSPACE.

Additionally, there are some actions that have the mousewheel specifically limited. I believe these all show up as the grey rotate hand, though, and obviously wouldn't affect left/right clicking actions.

Hi kyle. Thanks for that.

I've got the Grey hand. However can't left or right click.

This is really weird.

Kyle, I wonder if FS2 crew has done something?

I don't think it has, but I could be wrong. I haven't seen any issues and I've been using FS2Crew for quite some time.

Are you sure your eyepoint hasn't been moved by yourself or other programs?

I'm at a loss. I might uninstall ezdok and fs2crew and see if that does anything.

I'd caution against it, honestly, since I have both. Plus, I know you might've mentally checked off my question, but I can't read minds, so:

Are you absolutely sure your eyepoint has not been moved or altered?

Its pretty much affecting all dials on the MCP and the battery switch guard.

Everything else is fine.

Eyepoint is fine. I've tried a heap of different eyepoint positions and its not helped.

I have removed fs2crew and ezdok. No biggy, they are easy enough to reinstall.

Nb. The affected areas come up with a greyed out hand if I use the mousewheel or click left or right.

The other dials are fine.
