What exactly are you attempting to do here? Are you trying to install FSX for the first time?

Did you properly uninstall FSX and remove all traces of FSX ?

I would make sure all traces of FSX is removed before trying to reinstall. When I uninstall FSX, I use the following guidance - http://support.precisionmanuals.com/kb/a87/how-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-fsx.aspx except that I also run a registry cleaner before reinstalling. I do not use the guidance for reinstalling though.

Let's see if I can stick my foot in my mouth!  This happens when you are trying to insert your product key

 

to activate FSX after running the 2 installation discs?  Licenses=Product Key(s).

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

No, you don't understand. We have access to Google and it has nothing to do with your registry. Where does it show in your image that there is a problem with the registry?

No, you don't understand. We have access to Google and it has nothing to do with your registry. Where does it show in your image that there is a problem with the registry?

I have a feeling when he says registry it might mean registering (Typing in) the product key to activate FSX.

 

Just my thoughts on what he's trying to convey to us.
